Support & FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about MyBackrooms.
MyBackrooms is a content creation platform. Users can create custom 3D experiences and share them with other users on social networks.
You can start by creating an account and following the tutorial. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for free. Once you have an account, you can start creating your own 3D experiences using our easy-to-use tools.
We value your privacy and you can delete your account at any time. To delete an account simply log in, then select "My Account" in the top menu bar. Finally select "Personal Data" and click on "Delete". This action does not delete the content you created, which will still be available online for other users. If you want to delete the content you created too, manually delete each floor in the "My Floors" section, then delete your account. This way no data will be retained.
Yes — everything you submit is automatically screened by AI before it goes live. Both the text and the images you create or upload are checked by an automated content-moderation system, and anything containing adult (sexual) content, hateful content, or content that references self-harm is rejected. If something you made is blocked, just edit it and try again.
Yes — even though the main theme is the "Backrooms," MyBackrooms has content suitable for everyone. The Backrooms aesthetic is about exploring empty, liminal spaces — it isn't about horror — and creators use the very same tools to build all kinds of worlds, from playful and artistic to educational. Our Featured page is curated specifically to show Backrooms that are suitable for every audience.
Every Backrooms can be reported, no account needed. On its public page, use the "Report this content" link in the footer; while playing, open the ⚙ settings (3D) or tap the 🚩 flag (2D) and choose "Report this map." A human reviews every report and can unpublish or remove content. All uploads are additionally screened automatically by an AI content-safety filter before anyone can see them.
